Super tasty fried catfish and shrimp, decent burgers, fries were plain but crispy and well-cooked. Service was friendly, if just a little slow at times. The drinks on the kid's meals were supposed to be included; they tried to charge us extra, but fixed it when we pointed it out. Great views from the patio.
You have to go around to the side of the building and down the hill a bit to find the entry as it is not on the main street but it is worth the search. Our server was awesome, she really put in the effort- even with an injured leg! We had the catfish and shrimp dinners. Good portion size and the house sauces are excellent.
I have been coming to this establishment for over 40 years. It has seen many owners during that time. These guys are doing it right!! Saturday my husband and I went for an early dinner. He had the Vicksburg, crab cake and fried green tomatoes, and I had the blackened shrimp alfredo. Both were amazing!! Don't forget to order the biscuits!! They are incredible!! Good job The Biscuit! We will be back and we only live a few miles away!
Our waitress was great! She was friendly, attentive and informative on everything to do with the restaurant outside of our meal like the music trivia and karaoke nights plus which nights they have specials, etc. The experience was excellent overall: food, environment and service was above and beyond. 10 out of 10
Loved the whole atmosphere of the old building. The food was AMAZING husband had the alligator poor boy and said it was on point. I had the cheese burger and fries it was awesome. Waitress and staff were welcoming. 10/10
We stopped in for a few drinks and a snack while looking around downtown Vicksburg. Beer was fresh & our food was really good. I recommend the biscuits & beignets. The Crawfish queso was also good. Service was great.
We were passing through Vicksburg and ready for a decent meal. Road trip munchies don't satisfy. We found a place around the corner from The Biscuit that sounded perfect. When we got there (LD's Kitchen) there was a gentleman who met us outside and said there equipment wasn't working. He pointed us to The Biscuit. I can't thank him enough. We both ordered the Southern Comfort. Two large crab cakes, three fried green tomato slices, a delicious sauce with a gentle kick, and lump crab meat sprinkled on top. It was fantastic!!!
The food was amazing. We came down restoring power after the ice storm and had to find some good food and they didn't disappoint. Our waitress Regan was super sweet and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in town.
Went here because another place was closed. Hadn’t been in for close to 40 years. Glad we chanced the visit. Food was fantastic, well prepared and nicely presented as well. All 4 choices were excellent and so were the appetizers. Cajun fish, blackened salmon, Shrimp and Grits and Fried Oysters. Fried Green Tomatoes and Fried dill pickles.
The food was really good. I got the fried gator poboy it was so tender. The banana bread drink was strong but amazing flavor. And the deviled eggs with the fried catfish were awesome. Our waitress was super nice and got us everything we needed. Thank you would most definitely recommend this place and the look is very cool as well.
